Hundreds Mourn Former Obote Minister Peter Otai

Hundreds of mourners today gathered at St Peter's Cathdral Soroti to celebrate life of former Obote 2 minister Peter Otai.

 

Peter Otai passed on 1st January 2020 in London and his body arrived in Soroti yesterday 30th January.

 

Internal Affairs Minister Gen Jeje Odongo told mourners that Peter Otai is not dead but rather relocated to new home.

 

"Otai was a government official, the government accepted to accord him a state burial despite of what he did to the country." Minister Odongo added

 

Bishop Kosea Odongo while giving his remarks cautioned Police on torturing of people and called upon politicians to unite for the development of the country despite their political affiliation.

 

"Be careful when torturing people because one day you may need those people" Bishop Kosea said

 

"Government can afford to buy plenty of tear gas but state of some hospitals  is wanting"  He added
