Airtel Uganda Expands 4G Network to Empower Rural Soroti with High-Speed Connectivity

Soroti District – In a continued effort to enhance digital connectivity across Uganda, Airtel Uganda has launched a new 4G network site in Asuret Subcounty, Soroti District. This initiative underscores the telecom giant’s commitment to delivering reliable and high-speed internet services to both urban and rural communities.

 

The expansion is part of Airtel Uganda’s broader strategy to strengthen its network infrastructure, increase capacity, and improve service delivery nationwide.

 

Speaking at the launch, David Birungi, Manager of Public Relations at Airtel Uganda, highlighted the importance of expanding network coverage in fostering inclusive access to digital services.

 

"We are building our network capacity to ensure that our clients receive fast and dependable service," Birungi stated. "By increasing the number of sites and boosting our traffic-handling capabilities, we are making sure that businesses and individuals alike benefit from improved digital access."

 

Birungi reaffirmed that Airtel Uganda’s 4G network now spans the entire country, ensuring that even remote communities can enjoy high-speed connectivity.

 

"The people of Soroti should not worry - Airtel is here to empower and connect them," he added.

 

The launch event was officiated by Paul Eseru, the Resident City Commissioner for Soroti District, who praised Airtel Uganda’s dedication to bridging the digital divide.

 

"Airtel has been a reliable partner in driving digital inclusion," Eseru remarked. "I encourage residents to embrace Airtel for its friendly rates and continuous efforts in expanding network coverage."

 

He also urged the company to continue its efforts in extending network reach to more underserved areas.

 

The establishment of the new 4G site in Asuret marks a significant milestone in Airtel Uganda’s journey toward nationwide digital empowerment. It is expected to boost communication, support local businesses, and stimulate economic activity by providing more reliable internet access to the region.
