SOROTI :Soroti Magistrate Court has remanded Onyanga George Wilson, a co-director of Goshen Nursery and Primary School, until September 15, 2026, over allegations relating to Shs12.6 million reportedly meant for the repair of a Mercedes Benz motor vehicle.

Onyanga appeared before Soroti Magistrate Natongo Sarah, who ordered that he remain on remand pending further proceedings in the case.

The case stems from allegations concerning motor vehicle registration number UBM 193J, which belongs to Amuge Winfred, the complainant and wife of the accused. According to the case file, Onyanga had been driving the vehicle before it went missing in September 2024.

The complainant reportedly questioned Onyanga about the whereabouts of the vehicle, and he allegedly told her that it was at a garage undergoing repairs. She later became suspicious and reported the matter to police.

Prosecution evidence indicates that the vehicle was taken to MO2-TECH LTD, a motor vehicle repair garage, where it underwent several repairs. Muyanja Moses, the director of the garage, reportedly told investigators that the company issued an invoice amounting to Shs20.85 million for the repair work.

According to the evidence on record, the repair bill remained unpaid, while Onyanga allegedly received Shs12.652 million from Goshen Nursery and Primary School for purposes of repairing the vehicle.

The prosecution alleges that instead of using the money to settle the garage bill, Onyanga converted the funds to his own use. The case file further indicates that the vehicle remains in the possession of the garage.

Onyanga will remain on remand until September 15, 2026, when he is expected to appear before court for further proceedings.
