Obilan takes over management of Voice of Teso

Jonathan Ebwalu the Outgoing Manager Voice of Teso Radio yesterday officially handed over office to the Incoming manager Abubakar Obilan.


The ceremony took place at the Voice of Teso offices, Soroti city.


Obilan replaces Jonathan Ebwalu who is leaving to take up a new role at the August House as Member of Parliament representing the people of Soroti City West.


Obilan's appointment was announced last week by board Chairman Captain Mike Mukula


Who is Obilan Abubaker?

Obilan Abubakar is a born of Kidongole sub-county in Bukedea district. He is among the young promising educationists and researchers that Teso prides itself with. He has worked with several organizations in different capacities.


From 2009-2011 Obilan was a news reporter and also Ateso Radio talk show presenter at Mbale based Masaba fm Radio. Since then, Obilan has been to various radio stations as a panelist.


In recent times, Obilan wrote several articles on education, religion and politics published in the New Vision, Daily Monitor and online news outlets including  that sparked a lot of discussions in the country and guided policy formulation.

Obilan is also the former Member of Parliament candidate for Bukedea County in the recently concluded polls.
