Two Suspected Motorcycle thieves survive lynching in Soroti

Unidentified men accused of stealing a motorcycle have survived being lynched by an angry mob at arrow square, Soroti city.


According to an eyewitness, the motorcycle was stolen from Mbale city. The owner tracked and found it parked outside Sipi Falls Restaurant, Soroti while suspected thieves were having lunch inside the restaurant.


When the owner found the motorcycle parked outside, he alerted Boda Boda riders around Teso coach park who started beating one of the suspected thieves.


Police immediately swung into action and dispersed the mob by firing live bullets.


By press time, the two suspects were still detained at Soroti Central police station
