From Town Clerk to University Power Player: Abraham Omaido Takes on Prominent Role at Muni University!

Soroti City East Town Clerk Abraham Omaido has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary of Muni University, effective immediately. Omaido, who has led Soroti City East as Town Clerk for the past eight years, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.

 

Omaido holds a Master’s in Public Administration and Management from Uganda Christian University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Uganda Management Institute (UMI), and a Certificate in Administrative Law from the Law Development Centre (LDC). His background also includes serving as a Human Resource Officer in his home district of Ngora.

 

In his new position at Muni University, Omaido will support the University Secretary, oversee the administrative framework, and ensure effective management of the University Council and its committees. His extensive experience is expected to enhance the institution’s administrative efficiency.

 

Established by the Ugandan government under Statutory Instrument 2013 No. 31, Muni University is located 3 kilometers south of Arua City in north-western Uganda. The university serves as a key center for higher education in the region.
