Burial Program for Brigadier General Charles Oluka Announced

The National Organizing Committee (NOC) has released the official burial program for Brigadier General Charles Oluka, the Director General of the Internal Security Organization (ISO), who passed away on January 29, 2025, in Kampala.

 

According to the NOC Chairperson, Col. Emmy Katabazi, the farewell events will unfold as follows:

 

Requiem masses will be at Kitovu-Kitende from Friday 31st January to Sunday 2nd February at 6:00 PM.

 

On Monday 3rd, February, The body will be picked up from Mulago Hospital at 10:00 am and then proceed to Kabulamuliro, Padre Pio Catholic Shrine for Requiem Mass at 12;00 noon. After Church, the body will leave for the residence of the deceased at Kitovu-Kitende for vigil mass at 5:00 PM.

 

The body will leave Kampala for Soroti city on Tuesday 4th February 2025.

 

On Wednesday 5th, February 2025, There will be a Requiem mass at St Patrick Catholic Church Madera at 10:00 am and thereafter proceed to Soroti Flying School for Public viewing at 2:00 PM. The body will then leave for Ousia village, the ancestral home of the deceased.

 

There will be a requiem mass at Ousia village on Thursday, 6th February 2025.

 

On Friday, 7th, February 2025, There will be a Requiem mass at St Joseph's Catholic Church, Kamidakan at 10:00 am.

 

The final burial rites will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, in Ousia, Apapai, Kalaki District, beginning with speeches at 10:00 AM.

 

Brigadier General Oluka was appointed as the Director General of ISO on October 8, 2020, succeeding Colonel Kaka Bagyenda. Before this role, he served as the Director of Technical Services at ISO until 2018.
