Popular Teso music artistes Davido Spider, Canis Odd, and Kassim Lee have cheated death following a severe road accident along the Jinja-Iganga highway near Bugembe, Jinja City.
The incident occurred late Thursday night, at approximately 11:30 PM. According to preliminary reports, the trio was travelling from Uganda's capital, Kampala, heading to Bukedea district when the mishap took place.
Eyewitnesses at the scene narrated that the accident was triggered while the artistes' vehicle was attempting to overtake another car. During the overtaking maneuver, a taxi reportedly rammed into them from behind. The sudden impact caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle, which violently veered off the road and overturned multiple times before landing in a deep roadside trench.
Despite the terrifying nature of the crash and the extensive damage to the vehicle, miraculous reports emerged shortly after confirming that all three musicians escaped with their lives.
Speaking exclusively to Teso Vibez, Davido Spider confirmed the incident and rushed to calm the nerves of anxious fans across the Teso sub-region and beyond.
“We are grateful to God for saving us from this accident. We are not badly off; we only sustained minor injuries,” Davido Spider assured their supporters.
Fans and fellow industry players have since flooded social media with messages of thanksgiving and quick recovery for the trio, thanking God for sparing the lives of the fast-rising Teso entertainment stars.
