Uganda premier league side Police FC have confirmed the signing of experienced midfielder Tonny Mawejje on a two year deal.
Mawejje, who was a free agent after his latest exploits at Kuwait based Al-Arabi Sports Club.
The 33 year midfielder played for police fc in 2006 from KCCA FC before moving to Europe and he played for one season while at Police FC Tony managed to guide the club in the CECAFA Club Championship and they did won the trophy.
In 2009 Mawejje left to Europe to play professional football and since then Tony he has spent most of his game career playing for European and Asian club. Clubs like Valur FC and Throttle FC in Iceland, Haugesund in Norway, Tirana FC and Al-Arabic SC in Kuwait.
Tonny Mawejje started his Youth career Masaka LC FC (2000 – 2003), played for KCC FC (2004–2005, Police FC (2006–2007, URA FC (2008–2009), ÍBV Vestmannaeyjar in Iceland (2009-2013) and Golden Arrows on loan (2012). He stints at for Haugesund (2014), Valur on loan (2014), Þróttur (2015–2017), and Tirana (2017–2019)
