Gospel musicians from Teso subregion are joining friends and family in mourning the death of Pastor Douglas Osire.
According to close sources, Osire was hit on Friday night by thugs while returning home after escorting a friend around Namugongo, Kiira municicipality. He was then rushed to the nearby clinic by wellwishers before being transferred to Mulago Hospital for further management.
He passed away this morning after undergoing brain surgery at Mulago National Referral Hospital.
Osire was a lead choir singer and youth pastor at Embassy of God Church Kireka. He is famously known for the worship song 'Emamei' by Spirit in Motion music.
Some of the gospel artists have eulogized the late as a very calm and friendly person.
