Kampala - Thousands of eager fans flocked to the Lugogo Cricket Oval as the Uganda Police Force cleared King Saha’s highly anticipated music concert to proceed, following a temporary suspension over safety concerns. The event, initially put on hold on January 23, 2025, is now confirmed to take place with necessary precautions.
The concert, organized by Mr. Galabuzi Denis Benon of Umoja Management LTD, was halted due to issues regarding the structural integrity of the venue's pavilion. After a joint meeting between the police, event organizers, and venue managers on January 24, 2025, it was concluded that the concert could safely continue, provided certain restrictions were enforced.
The Uganda Police emphasized that the pavilion, deemed structurally unsafe, will be off-limits during the event to mitigate any risks to attendees. Organizers have committed to adhering to these safety measures and have made alternative arrangements to ensure the well-being of the crowd.
Despite criticism and accusations of political interference linked to King Saha’s ties with opposition figure Bobi Wine, the police clarified that their decision was purely based on safety concerns and not influenced by political motives.
Excitement is palpable among fans, and King Saha has promised an unforgettable performance, which is expected to draw large crowds. Preparations at the venue are in full swing, with organizers and security personnel ensuring everything is in place for a smooth event.
The Uganda Police urge attendees to follow safety guidelines, cooperate with security personnel, and avoid restricted areas, including the pavilion, which remains off-limits.
The concert at the Lugogo Cricket Oval is shaping up to be a spectacular night for King Saha’s fans and a testament to the importance of prioritizing safety at large public events.
