The Ministry of Education and Sports has released the official dates for the 2026 national examinations, setting the timetable for thousands of candidates across Uganda preparing for the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).
According to the schedule released by the Ministry, the UCE examinations will begin on October 8 and run until November 3, 2026, followed by the PLE from October 30 to November 4.
The UACE examinations will run from November 7 to December 5, 2026, marking the final national examination period for the year.
The dates come as candidates enter the final phase of preparation, with schools expected to intensify revision and provide the necessary academic support ahead of the examinations.
The Ministry has urged candidates to remain focused, disciplined and confident as they complete their preparations.
Parents, guardians and teachers have also been encouraged to continue supporting candidates throughout the final stretch as they prepare to sit the national examinations.
The Ministry has wished all candidates success as they prepare for the 2026 UNEB examination season.
