Singer Dax Vibez has revealed that Cinderella Sanyu, better known as Cindy, was his childhood celebrity crush, while also making it clear that he would be open to dating fellow singer Jowy Landa.

Dax made the remarks during a Tuesday interview on Galaxy TV, where he also spoke about his music career and family.

“Growing up, Cindy was my celebrity crush,” he said.
The singer, whose real name is Ivan Bugembe Ssentamu, has previously spoken about his admiration for Cindy.

Last year, while preparing for a concert that fell on the same date as one of Cindy’s shows, Dax said he had hoped to have her perform at his event.

“I used to have a crush on Cinderella Sanyu when I was still a young boy. I actually wanted her to perform at my show, but God has other plans,” he said at the time.

His latest comments have brought the old crush back into the spotlight.

On Jowy Landa, Dax did not hide his interest. He said he is ready to date her.

The two have been linked in the public eye since their collaboration on Fantasy, which received airplay earlier this year.

Jowy had already made her feelings known in March while promoting the song on Galaxy TV.

“I would date Dax Vibez if he wasn’t married. I have crushed on him for a long time,” she said.
Dax’s latest remarks now put the two singers’ playful exchange back in the spotlight.

Away from romance, Dax also revealed that he plans to leave active music in the next four years and move into artist management.

“I am quitting music in four years,” he said.
He did not reveal which artists he hopes to manage or whether he plans to start his own management company.

Dax has recently worked with singers including Jowy Landa, Rema Namakula and Laika as he explores more love songs alongside his earlier dancehall sound.

He also spoke about his education, revealing that his elder brother, National Unity Platform president Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, helped pay his school fees from Primary Four through university.
