Legendary media personality Jonathan Ekochu has been appointed Senior Public Relations Officer at Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Ltd (UETCL). His appointment takes immediate effect.
Ekochu is a veteran revered radio personality, who steered Mike Mukula's Voice of Teso to greater heights before he was snatched by Speaker Anita Among's Mama Bukedea FM. He had a brief stint in Mama Bukedea.
SOCCOM came knocking and Ekochu was scooped like soup and was assigned to revive the almost 'dead' Teso Na Ikoto Oni' t program.
Before joining the radio industry, the pompous Ekochu first started his hustle at Halcyon HS whitening the boards with his Agriculture theatrics. He is a certified Science Secondary School teacher tutored by Kyambogo University.
He wields a degree bragging right, is a fellow of Exercise Civil Bridge (CIMIC 2009), and is a graduate of the Institute of Advancement of Journalism Johannesburg South Africa.
The dark-skinned boy from Omodoi palace is also a Two-time BBC, VOA, and Farm Radio International trained fellow. Ekochu, the Nationally certified Master of Ceremony, also recently graduated with a certificate from TASO College of Health Sciences majoring in HIV/AIDS Counselling.
He had a stint at the celebrated Teso Safe Motherhood Project in senior quarters. He is pursuing Masters classes.
He is the director at Teso Kwanza Foundation a NOT for Profit Charity organization currently championing the Coffee growing in Teso. He is the 4th reigning PR guru after Chris Obore, Jamesbond Odongo, and Juma Hassan Nyene.
