SOROTI – The Senior Presidential Advisor and Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, has applauded Soroti’s Assistant Resident City Commissioner (ARCC), Julius Enyalu, for his unwavering dedication to public service and grassroots mobilization.

Speaking during a major empowerment drive held on Friday at Katine Subcounty Grounds in Soroti District, Hajjat Namyalo described Enyalu as “steadfast and reliable,” crediting him for ensuring the smooth execution of ONC’s programs across the region.

“He works for the people,” Hajjat Namyalo stated, highlighting Enyalu’s instrumental role in advancing community-based government initiatives and rallying the Bazzukulu ba Jajja — a term referring to the youthful beneficiaries of President Museveni’s empowerment vision.

The highly attended event drew tens of thousands of youth and women from across the Teso sub-region. Attendees received an assortment of start-up tools and materials aimed at fostering self-reliance and economic growth. Among the items distributed were sewing machines, agricultural sprayers, chapati-making equipment, and brick-laying kits.

“This is about empowering you to take charge of your future,” Namyalo told the jubilant crowd. “Jajja Museveni believes in your potential, and these tools are a seed for your prosperity.”

The initiative forms part of the ONC’s broader campaign to implement President Museveni’s wealth creation agenda, with a focus on youth and women as pivotal players in Uganda’s socio-economic transformation.

The event featured performances from local artists, speeches from community leaders, and energetic mobilization efforts that underscored the growing support for the government’s empowerment programs in the region.

As the ONC continues to expand its outreach, leaders like Julius Enyalu are being recognized as key figures driving impactful change at the grassroots level.
