Soroti City – Airbourne Entertainment Africa has spoken out following a brief but alarming incident that occurred during the 15th Anniversary Concert of celebrated artist Yonachan Lee on May 17, 2025, at Arrow Square in Soroti City.

In a statement, the organizers expressed deep gratitude to the people of Teso for their overwhelming support, noting the event was a monumental milestone for the artist. Special appreciation was extended to Apostle Daniel Emasit, recognized as the most outstanding corporate supporter for securing a VVIP table and making significant financial contributions towards the event.

According to the press release, an unexpected altercation erupted between a group of bloggers and the personal security of Mark P during his performance. The incident took place while Mark P was on stage in support of Yonachan Lee's anniversary show.

The organizers clarified that neither Airbourne Entertainment Africa nor Yonachan Lee had prior knowledge or involvement in the matter. At the time of the scuffle, Yonachan Lee was reportedly still preparing at Strikers Hotel and Club and was not present at the venue.

The entertainment company has launched an investigation into the incident to establish whether it was an isolated episode or a calculated attempt to sabotage the concert.

Despite the disruption, fans maintained their composure and remained focused on celebrating Yonachan Lee’s legacy. Swift intervention by the security team helped de-escalate the situation, and performances resumed without further issues. The show eventually continued, with Yonachan Lee delivering an electrifying performance.

To ensure maximum safety, Airbourne deployed a robust security team, including:

15 SCB bouncers positioned inside the venue and 30 officers from the Uganda Police Force and Uganda People’s Defence Forces, stationed both inside and around the venue, supported by OC OPS patrols

All personnel reportedly conducted their duties with professionalism and diligence. The organizers confirmed that no injuries or major disruptions were reported, and the surrounding areas remained peaceful throughout the evening.
