Soroti, Uganda — Timo School of Health and Business Management, affiliated with the Uganda Institute for National Development, marked a major milestone this week by hosting its inaugural graduation ceremony at the scenic Debbie's Gardens in Soroti.

The colorful event saw dozens of students awarded certificates and diplomas in a range of health-related disciplines, cementing the institution’s role in shaping the future of Uganda’s healthcare workforce.

Gracing the occasion were high-profile local leaders, including the Speaker of Soroti City, Hon Juliet Agonyo and the Mayor of Soroti, Hon Joshua Edogu who applauded the school’s dedication to academic excellence and its mission to equip young professionals with practical skills for national development.

“Institutions like Timo School are vital to addressing the gaps in our health sector,” said the Mayor Joshua Edogu. “We are proud to see such initiatives thriving right here in Soroti.”

The school’s affiliation with the Uganda Institute for National Development ensures that its curriculum remains aligned with national standards and labor market needs — a move that continues to attract students from across the Teso sub-region and beyond.

Parents, guardians, and community leaders turned out in large numbers to celebrate the graduates, whose achievement marked not just personal success, but also a step forward for regional capacity in health services.

School administrators reaffirmed their commitment to expanding programs in nursing, midwifery, and community health, while also exploring new frontiers in business and management education.

The graduation ceremony concluded with a call to action from the guest speakers, encouraging the graduates to serve with integrity, compassion, and professionalism in all their future endeavors.
