KAMPALA, Uganda – Veteran Ugandan dancehall artist David Sifayo, widely known by his stage name Master Parrot, has tragically died at the age of 47. The music icon was killed on Sunday after being struck by a speeding motorcycle while attempting to cross a road along the Northern Bypass.

Born to Jackie Byange Bwirira and Josephine Nakayiza, Master Parrot was a prominent figure in the vibrant 2000s dancehall era.
