Soroti City Woman MP, Alobo Joan, has officially commenced her campaign efforts to secure the FDC flag for the upcoming elections. Today, Alobo hosted a meeting with delegates from Soroti City East to garner their support in her bid for re-election.
Following the meeting, Alobo expressed optimism regarding her candidacy. She stated that the party structure members conveyed their strong backing for her continued representation within the FDC party, emphasizing the importance of her brand in the party's future.
“The delegates have assured that they still need the Alobo brand in the FDC party,” she remarked.
In her address, Alobo underscored the need for unity within the party as a strategic approach to winning the elections, indicating that collaborative efforts among members will be essential to their success. “We have strategized on how to win this election through unity,” she added.
As the campaign progresses, Alobo will be facing a notable challenger in Soroti City Speaker Agonyo Juliet, who is also vying for the FDC flag bearer position for the Soroti City Woman MP seat.
