KAPELEBYONG DISTRICT — As political activities intensify ahead of the upcoming party primaries, Okwalinga James has emerged as a formidable contender in the race for parliamentary representation in Kapelebyong County. His latest campaign rally in Akoromit Sub-county attracted enthusiastic crowds, signaling growing support for his people-centered leadership style and development-oriented agenda.

Okwalinga, known for his strong connection with grassroots communities, used the occasion to highlight pressing issues affecting the district — from poor road infrastructure to the lack of transparency in the use of government funds allocated for development.

“We know the leaders we voted for and the services they offered,” he told the crowd. “But we are still asking: how was the money released by the government used? The condition of our roads is appalling. This is the time to demand real change.”

He went on to criticize past representatives for failing to provide feedback on key government programs such as SACCO funding, and urged voters to be more vigilant and deliberate in selecting leaders who are committed to accountability and community development.

“You have elected Members of Parliament who don’t even inspect the state of your roads. Government sends funds for SACCOs and development programs, but no one informs you. Since they were elected, nothing has changed. It’s time to vote for a leader who will stand with you — and I am that voice,” he emphasized.

With his message centered on transparency, inclusive leadership, and rural transformation, Okwalinga has positioned himself as a voice for the marginalized and a champion of change in Kapelebyong District.

He concluded his speech by calling on residents to turn out in large numbers for the party primaries scheduled for the 17th of this month, encouraging them to make a decision that will shape the future of their communities.

“There are many challenges in our villages, but with the right leadership, they can be addressed. On the 17th, vote for me so we can bring meaningful development to our people,” he said.

As the primaries draw near, political analysts and local observers now consider Okwalinga James a leading candidate, with a campaign that continues to gain traction across Kapelebyong County.
