Popular Ugandan artist Douglas Mayanja, widely known as Weasel Manizo, has finally been discharged from Nsambya Hospital after days of hospitalization following a car accident.
The singer, one half of the celebrated Good Lyfe duo, was admitted to the medical facility earlier this week after an incident that occurred at Shan’s Bar & Restaurant in Munyonyo.
According to several sources close to the situation, the unfortunate incident reportedly followed a heated disagreement between Weasel and his partner, Sandra Teta. Details of the accident itself remain under wraps, but it necessitated immediate medical attention for the musician.
Upon his discharge, Weasel Manizo was seen being escorted from the hospital by his elder brother and fellow music icon, Jose Chameleone. Chameleone later took to his social media handles to share the encouraging news, celebrating his brother's release.
Confirming his recovery and expressing profound gratitude, Weasel Manizo also posted a message on his own social media platforms:
“Finally Discharged. Thank you to Nsambya Hospital's management, doctors, and nurses for the outstanding care we received. Your professionalism and dedication to our community are greatly appreciated.”
The incident had sparked concern among his fans and the wider music fraternity, who have been sending well wishes since news of his hospitalization broke. His discharge marks a positive step in his recovery, though the circumstances leading to the accident continue to be a subject of public discussion.
