Jamaican Dancehall superstar Spice is officially set to ignite the stage in Kampala, Uganda, on December 6th. The highly anticipated concert will take place at Lugogo Cricket Oval, as confirmed by organizers Africa One Tours and Travels through their entertainment brand, Safari Beats.
The announcement came during a press briefing held at Serena Hotel, solidifying Spice's previously hinted visit as a major cultural event.
Paula Nahamya, CEO of One Tours and Travel Limited, elaborated on the broader vision behind the event. "With Safari Beats, we are building more than events. We are creating journeys that connect our music, our heritage, and our natural beauty," Nahamya stated. She emphasized that bringing Spice to Uganda offers a unique opportunity to "showcase our country’s cultural vibrancy while honoring our own queens of the stage," promising an experience that transcends mere music by celebrating Uganda wholeheartedly.
The "Queen of Dancehall" will not be performing alone; she will be joined by some of Uganda's biggest female artists, including Winnie Nwagi, Cindy Sanyu, and Sheebah Karungi, ensuring a powerful showcase of East African talent.
Beyond the stage, Spice’s visit is designed to be a comprehensive cultural immersion. Her itinerary includes tours of iconic Ugandan landmarks such as Murchison Falls National Park, the historic Kasubi Royal Tombs, Bulange Mengo, and Namugongo. This deliberate fusion of music and tourism, spearheaded by Safari Beats, aims to elevate Uganda's global image, presenting it as both a vibrant stage for international talent and an unrivaled destination, truly embodying its moniker as the Pearl of Africa.
