Serere District - Residents across Kasilo County are set to receive free, vital health services next month following the approval of a major community health outreach program.
EninuCare Service, an initiative spearheaded by aspiring area Member of Parliament Mr. Eninu Edward, has received official clearance from the Serere Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and the District Health Officer (DHO) to conduct a series of health camps from October 2-4, 2025.
The three-day event aims to bring crucial medical screenings closer to the people in various locations throughout the county. The services offered will include
Cervical Cancer Screening, HIV Counselling and Testing, Tuberculosis (TB) Screening, Malaria Testing, and Sensitization, among others.
This initiative marks a significant effort to boost early disease detection and promote positive health-seeking behaviours within the community.
In a strategic move to ensure professional service delivery and sustainability, EninuCare Service will be partnering directly with health workers from the Serere District Local Government. This collaboration ensures that all procedures will adhere to the district's official health standards and protocols.
Alvin Emma Aboku, the Program Coordinator for EninuCare Service, expressed gratitude for the district's support. "We are thrilled that the district leadership has endorsed this critical program," he stated.
"Our mission, through the vision of Mr. Eninu Edward, is to supplement the excellent work the government is already doing. By bringing these services to the grassroots, we can identify health issues early and save lives."
