Teso's celebrated comedian Opado Julius alias Dolopiko has declared his intentions to vie for Kumi's mayoral seat in the 2026 general elections.
Dolopiko in an exclusive interview with this website said that he has been mentored politically by different leaders and believes that 2026 is the right time for him to lead the people of Kumi municipality.
"I learned a lot when I landed on supporting David Calvin Echodu which almost made me lose my job," He said
Dolopiko will become the second artist to contest for the same position after Engalu Lawrence alias Opokomere who lost to Ochom Richard in the 2021 elections.
