Mike Mukula’s eldest son George Michael Mukula Jr tied the knot with his lover Irakoze Christa over the weekend at All saints Cathedral, Nakasero.
The wedding was officiated by Archbishop of Church of Uganda Dr. Stephen Kazimba.
The event was graced by Vice President Jessica Alupo on behalf of President Yoweri Museveni who gifted Shs20 million to the newly wed in 2022.
Shortly after the wedding ceremony, H.E Alupo wrote thus on twitter; “Today I represented H.E President @KagutaMuseveni at the wedding of Capt. Mike Mukula’s son George Micheal M. In H.E’s message to the couple, he said, “I congratulate the groom, George M Mukula Jr. & the bride, Christa Ines, for taking this bold step to commit to each other.”
In September last year, Christa introduced Mike Mukula Jr, to her family and friends in a traditional wedding ceremony at her parents’ home in Burundi. The two met while Christa was studying at Cavendish University in Uganda and have been dating for close to three years.
