Prominent TikTok sensation Asia Namirembe has passed on.
Asia, who became a phenomenon on social media with alot of followers passed away today's morning after going through an emergency operation following an illness she was diagnosed with.
According to information, Asia reportedly developed a severe abdominal complication early week and was rushed to Mulago Hospital for further treatment.
Her family says she first complained of stomach pain resulting in vomiting.
“We took her to a clinic in Kamwokya and they run a scan, But later as she got worse we decided to bring her to Mulago,” Asia’s mother said
Asia Namirembe, better known as 'Asia wa Charles' sprung into instant stardom in 2021 on TikTok as her love relationship with Charles took social media by the cyclone.
A number of celebrities have since posted on their social media handles as they join fans in mourning the star.
"Tiktok won’t be the same without Asia! Rest In Peace ??", Sheilah Gashumba tweeted.
National Unity platform president Robert Kyaggulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has also eulogized Asia as a very jolly and happy person.
"Munange Asia, otukoze bubi nnyo O.G. Tujja kusubwa nnyo omutima gwo omulungi n'emboozi zo ezinyuma. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace. You will dearly be missed." Bobi posted
