SOROTI CITY — Soroti City is set for a lively Saturday night as two entertainment spots along Solot Avenue prepare to host competing cultural-themed events, leaving partygoers with a difficult choice over where to spend their night.

Aries Bar & Lounge will host the Blackout Saturday – Ateker Cup of Nations Activation Edition, while Da Chillaz Lounge will stage The Karamoja Parade. Both events are scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026, and will feature music, dance and Karamoja cultural performances.

At Aries Bar & Lounge, the Ateker Cup of Nations activation will begin at 6:00 PM, with free entry. The event will feature Dimz UG as the guest performer, supported by DJ Pin, DJ JJO and DJ Beepa 256, with MC Rickxel handling the hype. The event will be hosted by Apecho under the tagline “Bring Your Squad.”

The Aries event is expected to attract not only local partygoers but also visitors from Ethiopia, Kenya, South Sudan and other countries who are expected to be in Soroti for the Ateker Cup of Nations. Their presence is expected to give the activation an international and cultural atmosphere.

Just a short distance away, Da Chillaz Lounge will host The Karamoja Parade, another event built around Karamoja and wider Ateker culture.

The entertainment lineup at Da Chillaz includes DJ IK’s and DJ Omahle, while Mzee G and MC Kash Mane will handle the hype. Sogo Beats will provide the dance entertainment.

The Karamoja Parade will also feature several cultural activities, including cultural dance, Ateker fashion showcasing, photo moments, meet-and-greet sessions, a dance competition and surprise Ateker artists.

Despite being separate events, the two celebrations share a major similarity: both are bringing Karamoja performers and cultural entertainment to Soroti City on the same night.

The close proximity of the two venues could make the night even more interesting. Soroti partygoers are known to move from one lounge to another as they search for the liveliest crowd, best entertainment and overall atmosphere.

As a result, the competition may not simply be about choosing between Aries and Da Chillaz. Some partygoers could begin their night at one venue before crossing over to the other to see where the biggest vibe is developing.

Aries will be looking to capitalise on the Ateker Cup of Nations activation, its music lineup and the expected presence of visitors from across the region, while Da Chillaz will be banking on its cultural activities, dance, fashion and surprise performances to attract the crowd.

With both venues promising performers and cultural entertainment, Soroti’s party animals face a tough decision this Saturday.

The biggest question now is not whether Soroti will have a vibe, but which venue will deliver the greatest vibe of the night , Aries or Da Chillaz?
