Soroti City is set to experience an unforgettable night of music, comedy, and celebration as DJ Mato, under the Criminal Geng label, hosts his highly anticipated "Best of DJ Mato UG" event.

Scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2024, at Cloud 9 Arena, the event promises a showcase of talent that will highlight the region's finest entertainers alongside renowned performers from across Uganda.  

The event will feature over ten of Teso’s most celebrated artists, including Rody Gavana of Wakanda Entertainment, Canis Odd, Naff Cee of Lousi Management, Josh Rash, Simple Bullet, Jose De Man, Vipa Teso Mada, Billy Basil, Galva G, and Mokas. Topping the bill is VIP Jemo, known as "The New Skool King", who will perform as the guest artist, bringing his electrifying energy to Soroti City.  

Speaking ahead of the event, DJ Mato expressed his excitement about the lineup, emphasizing his commitment to creating a platform that celebrates both local and national talent.  

The event will also feature top-tier MCs, including MC King City from Mbale representing the Elgon region and MC Hopkins, who will showcase female representation in the entertainment space. Comedians and DJs from the region will also be present to ensure a night filled with laughter and good vibes.  

“This event will unite the best of our local talent with performers from across Uganda to create an atmosphere that Soroti City has never seen before,” said MC Emmason, one of the event organizers.  

The Best of DJ Mato UG is more than just an entertainment event; it’s a celebration of community and collaboration. Josh Rash, representing Rashian Entertainment Group, praised DJ Mato for his dedication to the local entertainment industry. "Mato has always been more than a colleague; he’s a brother and a source of inspiration. I can’t wait to bring my best to this event," Josh Rash said.  

MC Chris echoed these sentiments, describing DJ Mato’s initiative as an inspiration for others in the industry to follow.  

In a press briefing, DJ Mato expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support he has received. He described the event as a way to give back to his fans and community, particularly after being crowned *Best DJ of the Year* at the 2024 Teso Entertainment Awards.  

“This event is personal to me. Winning the award was a defining moment, and I wanted to celebrate it with the people who have supported me throughout my career,” DJ Mato shared. He also hinted at a collaborative event with his colleague DJ Ivande in the future.  

With a wide range of entertainment and an impressive selection of refreshments available, the event aims to cater to all preferences and promises to leave attendees with lasting memories.
