SOROTI – Soroti City is mourning the loss of one of its most prominent and respected business figures, Derry Erupu, popularly known as 'Domingo', who passed away this morning at the Cancer Institute in Mulago. His death marks the end of an era for many who knew him as a pillar of the local business community.
Erupu was best known for his ownership of the Jose Marti Inn in Soroti city, a popular establishment that became a hub for both locals and visitors. Under his leadership, the Inn not only offered exceptional services but also fostered a sense of community, where patrons could gather, socialize, and network. His business acumen and dedication to hospitality made the Inn a favorite spot for many.
The news of his passing has left the Soroti community in shock, with many taking to social media to share their condolences and express their admiration for the lasting impact Erupu had on the city. Numerous tributes have poured in from friends, business associates, and residents who celebrated his kindness, generosity, and leadership.
