In a spirited blend of faith, media, and sportsmanship, the Teso Journalist Umbrella, under their sports wing TEJFOCE,  is set to face off against the Church of Uganda team in a much-anticipated friendly football match scheduled for this Friday at Soroti sports ground

The event promises more than just competition; it's expected to be a celebration of unity, community engagement, and mutual respect between two influential institutions in the Teso sub-region.

Speaking in an interview, Tejfoce Chairperson Opio Emmanuel expressed confidence and enthusiasm about the game. “This is going to be the most interesting match ever. It’s not just about winning or losing, but about bringing people together through the power of sports,” he said.

The match is part of broader community outreach efforts by both the media fraternity and the Church, aiming to strengthen relationships and promote healthy lifestyles among members. It also serves as a reminder of the important role that sports can play in bridging professional and social divides.

The game is expected to draw a significant crowd, with journalists, clergy, and community members all turning up to cheer on their respective sides. While the competition is friendly, both teams have been actively preparing to ensure an entertaining and competitive experience.

As excitement builds, Friday's match is shaping up to be more than a contest; it’s a symbol of cooperation, camaraderie, and community spirit.
