Soroti City West parliamentary aspirant and National Resistance Movement (NRM) Vice Chairperson for the Eastern Region, David Calvin Echodu, has intensified his campaign, pledging to deliver people-centered development aimed at improving infrastructure, social services, and economic opportunities within the constituency.
Echodu made the pledges while addressing residents of Agora Ward during his ongoing campaign trail, where he was received by large and enthusiastic crowds who turned up to show support for his bid.
Addressing the gathering, Echodu thanked residents for the warm reception and described the turnout as a strong vote of confidence in his leadership.
“The support I see here today shows that the people of Agora believe in my leadership. I am committed to working tirelessly to bring meaningful and lasting change to Soroti City West,” Echodu said.
He outlined a development-focused agenda that prioritizes the improvement of road infrastructure, expansion of access to clean and safe water, increased electricity connectivity to households, and enhancement of education standards across the constituency.
Echodu also urged residents to rally behind the NRM party and its flag bearers, including President Yoweri Museveni, noting that unity behind the ruling party would help consolidate government programs and accelerate socio-economic transformation in Soroti City and the country at large.
“Leadership is about action, not mere words. When families are struggling, leaders must deliver solutions,” Echodu said, pledging to lobby for youth employment opportunities, fight poverty, and promote economic empowerment in the region.
He emphasized that his campaign is anchored on service delivery, accountability, and community development, assuring voters of a leadership style focused on tangible results rather than rhetoric.
Reaffirming his commitment to Agora Ward, Echodu pledged to work toward improved access to clean water, better roads, job creation, and improved schools, among other essential services.
He further described the massive turnout as a clear indication that Agora Ward is firmly behind the NRM, expressing confidence in strong support for the party and President Museveni in the upcoming elections.
