The much-anticipated Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examination results for the 2025 academic year will be officially released tomorrow, Friday, March 13th, 2026, at a ceremony held at State House Nakasero.

The Minister for Education and Sports, Hon. Janet Kataaha Museveni, is scheduled to preside over the release event, which will commence at 11:00 AM. The results, which mark the culmination of the secondary education cycle for thousands of students, are compiled and administered by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).

This year's candidature saw a significant surge, with a total of 166,402 students registered to sit for the examinations. This figure represents a substantial 14.6% increase compared to the previous year, underscoring a growing number of students pursuing advanced level education in the country.

A breakdown of the registered candidates provided by UNEB shows a continued gender disparity in enrolment. Male candidates numbered 93,630, constituting 56% of the total cohort, while 77,772 female candidates registered, accounting for 44%.

The UACE examinations are a critical national milestone, serving as the final stage in Uganda’s formal secondary education assessment cycle. The performance of candidates in these exams is the primary determinant for eligibility and admission into universities and various other tertiary institutions across the country and beyond.

Stakeholders, including school administrators, parents, and the candidates themselves, are eagerly awaiting the announcement, which will set the tone for the next chapter of academic and professional pursuits for the 2025 cohort.
