MP Obua Urges parents to prioritize education

The state minister for Sport and Education Hon Hamson Obua who also doubles as the Member of Parliament Ajuri County, Alebtong District has advised Parents and guardians to prioritize offering their children education.

 

He made the remarks while officiating at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Angetta seed secondary school located in Attala village, Angetat Sub County in Alebtong district yesterday.

 

Obua noted that the best gift Parents and guardians can offer their children is Education and they should take it seriously as this will help produce responsible citizens of the nation.

 

“This move by the government is to ensure that education facilities are brought nearer to you and one way that clearly indicates that the government has its set priorities for the people,” he said.

 

Obua Called upon the community to always embrace Government initiatives that directly and indirectly benefit them.

 

The woman MP Dorcus Achen reiterated that education is the key while appreciating the government for starting up the construction of the seed school in her constituency.

 

According to District Engineer David, the construction of the 2billion Angetta Seed School will be taken by DELVO Company limited in a phased manner.

 

Deputy RDC Stephen Odongo appreciated the government in the Wise leadership of his Excellency the president of the Republic of Uganda for the program.

 

He added his voice by calling up the community to the initiative as a great opportunity.

 

“I appreciate the government of Uganda through the Ministry of Education for moving in line with the people’s interest towards modernization of the society,” he said.   

  

Odongo called upon the team to properly coordinate stressing that if coordination is not effective, there will be contradictions.

 

Local council five chairperson Dickens Odongo commended the government for the loving Alebtong with such a life-changing project.

 

He also appreciated the community of Angetat for willingly offering land for the proposed site.

 

Meanwhile Robert Adyama the Resident District Commissioner Called for total commitment and supervision from all stakeholders.
