The newly appointed Deputy Resident District Commissioner Alebtong District, Steven Odongo has vowed to coordinate the community, especially youths to embrace and utilize government programs intended to develop them.

Odongo who has been a youthful NRM cadre raised this recently while speaking to this website after being welcomed to his duty station in Alebtong where he is deputizing Robert Adyama the RDC.

According to Odongo, he has the vision to see government programs benefiting the community as planned through teamwork with all the stakeholders in the game.

He said that programs like the Parish Development Model launched by the government need a thorough comprehensive sensitization if it’s to benefit the target beneficiaries like youths. Odongo noted that as a young person, he strongly believes that the concepts of the parish development model if delivered to the youths by leaders who resonate with them can change the narrative of this nation from poverty to wealth.

“I draw a lot of emphases to coordinate the community and youth for a thorough and a compressive concept of parish development model, a move that will eradicate poverty in Uganda and improve people’s standard of living,” he said.

He further extended his deep appreciation to his Excellency the President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for steering the country well with total responsibility.

“He’s one who has shown love and commitment to the nation, above which the young generation should emulate at all times,” he said.

Odongo advised the youth to always exhibit discipline and hard work if they want to achieve a successful future and careers.
