NGORA - Kapir County Member of Parliament aspirant Simon Julius Engeku has asked all the people of Kapir county and Teso at large to vote President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni come 2026 general elections.
Engeku who doubles as the executive director of Engeku foundation made this remarks on Saturday 20th-April-2024 during the burial of Melda Asekenye Iyaya at Kokodu village, Mukura sub county in Ngora district.
Engeku said that President Museveni and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party has a clear ideology intended to continue transforming Uganda.
According to Engeku, politics and leadership isn’t all about singing, rather about seeing the nation develop by boosting the economy, making sure that citizens are safe and a number of other important things.
He also urged Kapir electorates not to vote of excitement, but rather vote knowledgeable leaders who can advocate for service delivery.
"Our manifesto is the best, only the NRM guarantees you peace and stability, we have the surest plan for economic transformation and prosperity" Engeku said
He added that Uganda is on course to middle income status and that's why most Ugandans agree with NRM party.
With the coming of Parish Development Model, Engeku is optimistic that poverty stressed households are going to change economically.
He also asked NRM cadres to mobilize and convince opposition diehards to join NRM for the betterment of our country.
Engeku has expressed interest to contest as Kapir county Member of Parliament under NRM ticket due to the detorating state of the county with people attributing it poor representation of the leaders in power.
He vowed to transform the struggling Kapir county when he's given a mandate to legislate on behalf of the change hungry people of Kapir.
He said that Kapir county which was curbed from Ngora county has not benefited from national cake as the electorates expected.
"I have come to develop Kapir, my people will not continue suffering while iam watching" Engeku said
We need to transform the people, bring services closer, improve on road network, education and health are part of my manifesto, he stated.
