The speaker of Parliament of Uganda who also doubles as the woman member of Parliament for Bukedea district Rt.hon Anita Annet Among has joined the rest of the residents in Bukedea district and teso at large to mourn the untimely death of Bukedea district chairperson Moses Olemukan who passed on Saturdays' evening at Mulago Cancer Institute at around 5pm.
It should also be noted that Olemukan was last month taken to The Nairobi Hospital in Kenya for treatment, before returned in December showing signs of improvement.
"It is with great sadness that I announce the untimely death of my District Chairman and brother Moses Olemakun. My sincere condolences to his family and the people of Bukedea, may his soul find eternal rest", Anita said in a tweet.
Mr. Olemukan was last month first admitted at a hospital in Nairobi, Kenya, but was at the beginning of this month (December) transferred to Mulago Cancer institute, where he eventually breathed his last from.
By press time, family members were yet to release any plans for the burial and final send-off of the fallen district chairperson.
