SOROTI - The Prime Minister of the Kumam Cultural Heritage (KUCH), Samuel Eyenga, has officially announced detailed plans to host an international delegation under the Ateker International Development Organization (AIDO) Network. The high-profile visit will take place from May 24 to May 28, 2025.
The delegation will include three respected kings and other distinguished leaders from Kenya, Jamaica, Nigeria, Canada, Barbados, and the United Kingdom. Eyenga described the upcoming event as a historic moment designed to strengthen unity, celebrate cultural heritage, and foster global solidarity. He confirmed that preparations are already underway, with various committees holding meetings to ensure the success of the visit.
According to Eyenga, the delegation led by Paul Jones Eganda, Founder and Global President of AIDO Network International, will arrive at Entebbe International Airport. They will be received by His Highness Papa Won Ateker Raphael Otaya, the head of KUCH, and later hosted at his residence in Katine, Soroti District on May 27.
The visit will include a cultural tour through the heart of Kumam land, where the guests will experience the traditional music, dance, and daily life of the Kumam people. To coordinate the event, KUCH has established an organizing committee that includes members of the KUCH cabinet, local leaders, NGOs, and community stakeholders.
Eyenga called on all well-wishers and partners to support the preparations. He encouraged both financial and in-kind contributions, emphasizing that the visit offers an opportunity for the Kumam people to demonstrate their hospitality and cultural pride on a global stage.
Richard Ebongo, one of the ministers under Kumam Cultural Heritage, confirmed that logistical plans are progressing well. He expressed gratitude to His Highness Won Ateker Raphael Otaya for building strong international ties that have brought global recognition to the institution.
In interviews with members of the Kumam-speaking community, there was widespread appreciation for the upcoming visit. Many commended His Highness Otaya for his leadership and commitment to promoting unity and peace among the Kumam people.
