SOROTI - As schools nationwide roll into their final term, Jeressar High School in Soroti city has officially reopened its gates for the highly anticipated third term, with students reporting in large numbers as they gear up for what is arguably the most important term of the academic year the promotional term.
This final stretch not only determines academic progression but also brings students one step closer to realizing their educational aspirations.
The atmosphere at the learning institution was filled with excitement and determination as students flocked back in droves, eager to catch up with friends and dive into the books.
According to Jeressar High’s head teacher, Asekenye Bethal, the return of students has been nothing short of overwhelming in the best way possible.
“We are thrilled to see our students reporting in such large numbers. This is a clear indication of their commitment and readiness to tackle the third term,” said Asekenye.
She further noted that Senior Four and Senior Six students have already hit the ground running, with classes already in full swing. "Our candidates know the importance of this term. They are already immersed in serious revision and preparations for their final exams,” she added.
For the rest of the students, classes are set to start tomorrow, and all indications suggest that they, too, are ready to embrace the term with enthusiasm. "This is a promotional term, meaning students must work hard to ensure they earn promotion to the next grade. The stakes are high, but I believe our students are up to the challenge," Asekenye emphasized.
She also noted that as Jeressar High School embarks on the crucial term, both students and teachers are focused on achieving academic success. With the dedication already shown by the students, the school is set to finish the year on a high note.
