Katakwi High School Achieves Outstanding 2024 UACE Results

In bid to bring back the lost glory of the mighty Katakwi High School in Katakwi District, the school has made history by producing its first-ever A-grade result in Biology, as UNEB announces Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results.

 

According to reports from school administration, the top-performing student Dan Amaitum achieved an exceptional A-grade in Biology, scoring 17 points in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and ICT.

 

Other distinguished players include: Moses Paul Ocen (History, Arts, and Literature) - 17 points, Oitapus Cyprian Patrick (Physics, Arts, and Mathematics) 15 points Lawrence Esamu (Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics) - 14 points, Okiror Benjamin (Physics, Economics, and Mathematics) - 13 points

 

Francis Ariko, the S.6 class registrar, expressed his amazement at the learners' remarkable performance, noting a significant improvement from last year's best result of 15 points.

 

Joseph Opule, the school's head teacher, states that the results were obtained due to hard work and a development mindset between the stakeholders.

 

He credited Amaitum's success to his dedication, the school administration's support, and the parents as key players.

 

Opule urged the government of Uganda to refund the school grant, which was blue-penciled from Ugx Shs 61m to Ugx Shs 27m.

 

The changer maker, in his statement, said his transformative leadership, commitment to quality education and dedication to students’ mentorship.

 

“We shall continue working hard to ensure that the state of Katakwi High School remains a centre of academic excellence in the whole of Katakwi and Teso at large” Opule added.

 

In other hand, Usuk Secondary School out of the 28 candidates, 26 candidates got result code five and qualify to get certificates and the beast got 16points Cyrus Oupal (HLD) and in Science Okiror David Moses got 14points (BCM) and Amoding Recho (MEG) while one candidate did not sat for exams.

 

David Moses Okiror 14points student in science thanked the teachers and parents for their good coordination towards achievement in academics.

 

“It was all about commitment and hard work plus discipline which made me pass highly” Okiror said.

 

However Joseph Okiror the school head teacher Usuk SS in his submission appreciated the candidates and teachers for the remarkable work towards the performance.

 

Okiror, extended his gratitude to his teachers and Board of governor for the grateful work towards the development of Usuk SS in academics and other hand.

 

Meanwhile, Geoffrey Omolo chairman LCV Katakwi district acknowledged the performance and called it a main milestone towards education.
