SOROTI - Teso-based musicians have finally secured sports jerseys ahead of their much-anticipated football showdown with local TikTokers, set to take place tomorrow. The announcement comes after days of speculation and growing public scrutiny over the artists' lack of preparation.
Concerns were initially raised when it emerged that several artists intended to participate in the match without official kits, citing financial constraints. Some were reportedly considering taking to the pitch in their stage outfits, a move that sparked online debate and criticism.
The issue gained traction when the TikToker team independently procured their uniforms, drawing praise from fans and raising questions about the professionalism of the artists' team. During a live TikTok broadcast, Erasmus, CEO of Teso Media Group, did not hold back in his criticism. “Why are you shaming us? You show no seriousness,” he said, accusing the artists of relying too heavily on political or external sponsorship rather than taking personal initiative. He urged the performers to treat the event with the seriousness it deserves.
“This match is more than just fun. It’s a show of unity and professionalism. Everyone needs to come ready,” Erasmus added.
In response to the growing backlash, the artists' camp confirmed that they have since secured appropriate kits and are prepared to face off against the TikTokers.
