Pingire County - Philip Oucor has unveiled his 2026–2031 manifesto, placing wealth creation at the center of his vision for the people of Pingire County in Serere district.
Speaking to this website, Oucor noted that despite Pingire’s vast fertile soils and strategic location by Lake Kyoga, many households continue to struggle with poverty. He promised to prioritize initiatives that will shift the community from subsistence farming to commercial production.
Oucora also in first manifesto agenda intends to promote access to quality agricultural inputs, modern fishing gear, extension services, and advanced training through partnerships with both government and private sector stakeholders.
He further pledged to expand and capitalize Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (SACCOs) and local savings groups to provide affordable credit and empower grassroots communities.
In addition, Oucor highlighted the importance of connecting farmers and fisherfolk with reliable buyers and processors to ensure they receive fair value for their produce. This, he said, would enhance dignity, stability, and shared prosperity across households in Pingire.
“Pingire deserves better, and I commit to deliver,” Oucor emphasized in his message.
His first manifesto agenda of fighting poverty has sparked conversations among residents, with many eager to see how the proposed wealth creation agenda will translate into tangible improvements in their daily livelihoods.
