Students at Light Secondary School are set to walk into national exams with renewed confidence and a sense of purpose, following a powerful dedication prayer led by Bishop Kosea Odongo of the Anglican Church. The event, which took place earlier this week, was an uplifting moment for the students as they prepared for one of the most significant academic milestones of their education.
In his address, Bishop Odongo emphasized the importance of faith, integrity, and focus as the students approach their exams. He urged them to place God first in all their endeavors and to trust in the knowledge and wisdom they had gained from their teachers. "Trust your minds, and let God guide you," he said, stressing the need to avoid any temptation to engage in examination malpractice.
The students, many of whom have been feeling the pressure of the looming exams, reported feeling calm and focused after the prayer service. In an interaction with this publication, they expressed optimism about their ability to excel. "We don’t have examination fever," one student shared. "Our teachers have prepared us well, and we are confident in the knowledge we’ve acquired."
Headteacher Adunya Marshall echoed these sentiments in an interview, expressing his belief that the school has provided its students with the tools to succeed. "Our teachers have worked hard to deliver the best education possible, and now it’s time for the students to trust their minds and fight against any fear or doubt," Marshall said.
With the national examinations just around the corner, Light Secondary School remains hopeful of producing outstanding results, fueled by a blend of academic preparation, spiritual guidance, and unwavering self-belief.
