Serere, Uganda – Richard Emanio, head of the campaign task force for Esther Lucy Acom Ajokotau, has dismissed rumors suggesting that he was “bought” by the incumbent Member of Parliament and State Minister for Fisheries, Hellen Adoa. Speaking to residents of Nanaga A, Akoroi A, Akoroi B, and Kayangan in Kateta Sub-County, Emanio clarified his position and reaffirmed his commitment to Acom’s campaign.

Emanio said that during the 2021 elections, he supported Hellen Adoa, but over time he realized that her leadership lacked focus on driving development in Serere District. “The people of Serere need leaders who prioritize progress and unity, not those who create divisions,” he stated.

The campaign chief emphasized that Acom Esther Lucy is the best candidate to bring meaningful development to the district. He assured residents that he and his team are intensifying efforts to mobilize support for her ahead of the upcoming elections.

Emanio urged voters to make informed choices and support leaders committed to development, stressing that rumors and political gossip should not distract the electorate from the real issues affecting their communities.

With heightened political activity in the district, Acom’s campaign is gaining momentum as Emanio tightens efforts to ensure her victory as Serere Woman MP.
