Ngora District – As the 2026 Local Government elections approach, Otim James Robert (Adukumoru) has officially declared his candidacy for LC5 Chairperson of Ngora District, running on the National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket. Speaking to supporters and community members, Adukumoru emphasized his commitment to delivering tangible results that will improve the lives of every resident in the district.

“Ngora deserves leadership that works for the people,” Adukumoru said. “My focus is on creating opportunities, improving services, and ensuring that development reaches every household, not just a few.”

Otim James Robert’s agenda is built around practical solutions to the challenges facing Ngora District:

Infrastructure and Roads: Opening and maintaining community and feeder roads to enhance trade, improve mobility, and connect rural areas to key markets.

Youth Empowerment: Providing skills training, vocational programs, and job creation initiatives to help young people become self-reliant and economically productive.

Healthcare: Strengthening health centres with improved infrastructure, staffing, and essential medical supplies to ensure all residents receive care with dignity.

Access to Clean Water: Expanding and protecting safe water sources for households, schools, and health facilities to improve community health and well-being.

Agricultural Support: Helping farmers increase production, adopt modern farming practices, add value to their produce, and gain better access to markets for improved incomes.

Central to Adukumoru’s leadership philosophy is unity and inclusivity. He pledged to work with community leaders, youth, women, and elders to foster a collaborative approach to development, ensuring that the benefits of progress are felt across the district.

The Electoral Commission has scheduled the Local Government elections, including LC5 Chairperson polls, for 22nd January 2026. Otim James Robert called on the people of Ngora to participate actively in the democratic process, promising leadership grounded in integrity, accountability, and measurable results.

"Together, we will build a Ngora that is united, healthy, and prosperous, where development touches every home,” Adukumoru concluded.
