After weeks of speculation and online rumors, multi-talented singer, DJ, and media personality Martha Aanyu — popularly known as DJ Martha — has finally broken her silence on her departure from Karma Xavier Entertainment, clarifying that she was not fired but voluntarily resigned on Christmas Day 2025.

In an exclusive interview with Teso Vibez, DJ Martha addressed the widespread claims circulating on social media that she had been dismissed from the label following a dramatic fallout.

“I’m shocked to read on social media that I was fired,” she said, visibly composed but firm. “That’s not what happened at all. I made the personal decision to leave, and it was communicated formally.”

During the interview, Martha displayed a copy of the resignation letter she sent to Karma Xavier’s management on December 25, 2025. She revealed that the label responded the same day.

“It was mutual, respectful, and amicable,” Martha emphasized. “I wanted to step into a new chapter on my own terms, and Karma Xavier respected that. I have no bad blood with the label — in fact, I still hold them in high regard.”

Martha also praised the transparency of Karma Xavier Entertainment’s operations, particularly highlighting the label’s ethical financial practices.

“Karma Xavier was a very good manager who could not even demand kickbacks in case of any performance gig,” she said. “That kind of integrity is rare in this industry. I enjoyed working with the team, and I have no problem with the label. If anything, I’m grateful.”

DJ Martha began her music career under Karma Xavier Entertainment, where she rose to prominence following a successful collaboration with fellow artist Lomig x5. The duo delivered a string of chart-topping hits, including “Mapenzi” and “Oxygen”, and headlined a sold-out concert in Soroti last year under the label’s banner.

Despite the public attention surrounding her exit, Martha remains focused on her next steps. When asked about plans to join another label, she remained non-committal, expressing a desire for reflection and creative independence.

“Right now, I want to take time — I’m not in a rush to sign anywhere."

Fans have responded with an outpouring of support across social media, with many applauding Martha for her honesty and professionalism.

Karma Xavier Entertainment has yet to issue an official public statement.
