Paul Ongoet a.k.a Emong Lo Katakwi has expressed his interest to vie for Katakwi District chairmanship.

But Who is Paul Ongoet?

A born of acomai village, Aliakamer, katakwi sub county in katakwi District. Ongoet aged 32 originates from a God fearing back ground , son to Mrs Florence Alupo, a retired Mid wife and Muzei Zerubaberi Eilor, peasant.

He Studied his primary at Dr. Wiggins KUMI District, went to St peters minor seminary madera soroti and later bukedi college -kachonga for "O" level, Soroti S S for " A'level. Possesses a Post graduate diploma in monitoring and evaluation from Uganda management institute, Bachelor's of economics obtained from Ndeje university. He is also currently Masters candidate of management science in Uganda management institute. 

Leadership:

Paul Was the Guild president of the Ndejje university from 2013-14. Deputy speaker of the guild president's association of Uganda 2013-14. 

Ongoet has been and he is still a political activist who has dared the State and district officials many peaceful demonstrations, engagements and matches both as a guild president of Ndejje university and katakwi resident. Worked with the institute of social investigations (USA) as a research coordinator from 2016-17, 2014-15, Monitoring and evaluation officer in one of the NGOs in Kampala soon to be revealed to date. A husband to one wife and Father to one child Paul Ongoet has already taken a consultation and 85percent of voters of all political and religious affiliations across the District have given him a green to contest as the District chairperson (LC5) Katakwi District local government come 2021!!

He has been very vital in resettling his people and lobbying for peace between katakwi and Napak border districts. A big engagement had been done with few District Technical staff of katakwi who can't be revealed as they hide of their "positions" Very youthful and pro youth advocate Takes 90percent of the youth who think their time is now not tomorrow as others "describe " He has a very good academic profile and believes in skilling of the Masses for household income generation. With the vibrant Experience seen, the religious leaders, opinion and stake holders believe, ONGOET can manage the District.
