VP Alupo graces the graduation of Ugandan students in Jerusalem

Tamir Yaron in his remarks highlighted some of the challenges that the programme has faced in the recent past especially the COVID pandemic, but said he was optimistic that the future will be better and saying that the beneficiaries of the programme are promising and urged the countries from where trainees come, to make use of them.

 

Israel agriculture Minister and Rural development Minister, Oded Forer said that Israel will continue engaging technology in its farming systems saying Israel despite its challenging and farming environment, has to continue producing food for its people home but also for external markets.

 

Alupo in her address pledged for Uganda’s continuous commitment of working with Israel in ensuring that students not only graduate from the training but that the trainees, positively contribute to Uganda’s efforts towards modernizing the economy through improved agriculture.

 

She also appreciated Tamir Yaron, the executive of the Agro training centre who is also Uganda’s Honorary Consul in Israel for the efforts he has put together in ensuring the programmes run even during COVID pandemic turbulence.
