Herbert Omoding, popularly known as "OMO," has officially launched his bid to represent Mukono Municipality in Parliament, sending waves through the local political scene. His decision to pick nomination forms under the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party has not only energized his supporters but also put his competitors on high alert.

Known for his eloquence, energy, and people-centered leadership, Omoding enters the race with a solid background in technology, leadership, and community development. His campaign promises a new chapter of transformative and inclusive governance for the people of Mukono.

“Inspired by the NRM's mission of national development and social justice, I am stepping forward to represent Mukono Municipality because I believe in purposeful leadership that responds to the real needs of the people,” Omoding stated in an interview.

He added that his alignment with the NRM's principles of progress, unity, and empowerment is a reflection of his own values, built on years of grassroots involvement and community advocacy.

Omoding’s campaign message is built around action and delivery. He has identified key priority areas he intends to tackle once elected:

1. Economic Development- By supporting small businesses, entrepreneurship, and job creation.

2. Education – Enhancing school facilities, promoting digital learning, and ensuring access to quality education for all.

3. Health Services – Improving healthcare infrastructure and ensuring affordable access to essential services.

4. Infrastructure – Upgrading roads, expanding access to clean water and electricity across the municipality.

5. Occupational Health and Safety – Strengthening labor standards and improving work conditions for all citizens.

Unlike traditional campaigns, Omoding’s approach emphasizes grassroots mobilization and direct engagement with citizens. He believes in an inclusive leadership style that invites input from every corner of the municipality.

“I don’t just want to represent the people—I want to work with them, walk with them, and win with them. Mukono deserves a leader who listens and acts,” he affirmed.
