Laura Atyang, also known as the Sage of Afro-Fusion, is a multi-talented recording and performing artist hailing from Teso. She is currently recognized as the top female music export from Uganda, the Pearl of Africa.

Starting her career at the tender age of 15, Atyang honed her craft in church choirs. Over the years, she mastered various fusion genres, including Afro, reggae, soul, and dancehall music, thanks to the diverse brands she has collaborated with.

Atyang’s rise to prominence began in 2012 when she joined one of Uganda's leading reggae bands, the Blood Brothers. She also became a member of the sensational trio, the Coconuts, alongside Christine Kaijabwango and Achiro Daphne. This experience fast-tracked her into the live music circuit.

She later performed with renowned bands and groups such as Magic Horns, Ouma and Friends, and Urban Soul, further cementing her status in the music industry.

In the fall of 2020, Atyang embarked on a solo career, releasing her first eight-track album, "Alakara." She followed this up with a new EP, "Afro Mobile," featuring six songs that showcase her creative and spontaneous vocal style, influenced by her diverse musical background.

Beyond her musical achievements, Atyang is dedicated to empowering women and youth. She believes every gift comes with an assignment, and for her, empowerment is the mission of her beautiful singing gift that she hopes to expand this endeavor globally, alongside her growing musical career.
