Many injured, Cows and Goats die in Amuria accident

Amuria was left in shock when the vehicle fuso registration number UBF 379B that was from Moroto cattle market loaded with cattle, goats and twenty people heading to kalerwe lufura kampala overturned killing several animals and cutting off legs and hands of the people on board.


The accident happened yesterday at 4:30 pm along Amuria-Asamuk road and the injured victims were rushed to Amuria health center iv but later referred to Soroti Referral Hospital.


The injured were identified as David Yiga from kampala, Kabugo David from Kampala, Wasoi Aziraf from kampala, Emmanuel Mukisa from kampala, Odeke Keneth Ogwechi from Abata village Alwa sub county Kaberamaido district, Alex Ogola Kampala, Mugerwa Davis from Kampala, Mutebi Fahad kampala and the driver Muhammedi Ali awho is on the run also from kampala.


However while speaking to the Oc Traffic Amuria, he said no person died but 21 goats and 7 cows died and police are investigating the cause of the accident.
